Sunday morning Dem analysis

https://www.realclearpolitics.com/epolls/latest_polls/

Polls released today show that the Bernie surge continues.

Two NH polls have Bernie leading Biden by 9 and 5 points.

National CNN poll has Biden leading Bernie by 26 to 23. The previous CNN poll from early December had Biden leading Bernie by 30 to 20.

Finally there’s the outlier ABC/Wash Post poll which has Biden leading Bernie by 34-22. This is based on respondents who are “registered and likely to vote.” Among all poll respondents, Biden has a much narrower lead of 28 to 24. This poll could be a warning sign that Bernie isn’t doing as well as other polls might indicate, because Bernie’s strongest support comes from demographics least likely to vote: young people and Hispanics.

    • I read an article yesterday where Axelrod said his Democrat focus group didn’t even mention the hearings until 80 minutes in. And the hearings are going on right now! Everyone knows this is all a big nothing burger that’s going nowhere.

      NEWS: Kobe Bryant just died.

  2. That last poll’s requirement makes it the most reputable.

Registered. voted in last election and considers themselves likely to vote in the election being polled for is the gold standard for a forecast poll.

  6. It sucks that Bernie abandoned his perfectly reasonable position on immigration. Big sellout.

I hope trump hammers him on it.

    • Bernie is an untenable clown.

He wants the US government to take care of the entire world.

He’s dead in the water. These fake polls aren’t going to change that. Determining “registered likely voter” is itself a polling problem.
