Looking back: Lion was right about impeachment

Back in September, I wrote:

Some commenters say something like “no way will Democrats really impeach him.”

To that, I say, “yes, way.” If Republicans could impeach Clinton for lying under oath about whom he had sex with, then Democrats can impeach Trump because they HATE, HATE, HATE him, and to get revenge against Republicans for impeaching Bill Clinton, even though under the current mode of #metoo thinking, Clinton was an evil misogynist rapist.

For example, the commenter who calls himself “Ok, what, who’s this again?” wrote back then:

Yes, there is no impeachment. Just as the release of Trump’s tax returns will be never ever.

Like the Mueller testimony, it’s all theatrics!

Wrong! Wrong! Wrong!

  1. The commenter you’re referring to spams practically ALL of your threads. Who knows if he believes anything he says, or just needs to hear himself talk.

  2. Haha, of all people, arch cuck Lindsey Graham says the impeachment farce ends very soon at which point the investigation into Joe and Hunter Biden (ie. the real crime) will begin. Good times!

    • I don’t believe that at all.

Graham apparently doesn’t want any investigation. The only way there is going to be one is if it’s done in the context of impeachment. Otherwise a month from now, you’ll be wondering “what happened to that investigation they promised?”

  3. How do you know you were right? Let’s see if them vote, and see how close it is, before you declare yourself right.

  4. Yeah, Dems voted for impeachment because they totally hate Donald Trump, not because he clearly abused power or anything. And that also explains why Dems did NOT impeach Bush (they didn’t hate him enough). It also explains why Dems didn’t impeach Trump for obstructing in the Mueller investigation (not enough hatred). It all makes perfect sense…

Just like Lamar Alexander’s vote: The Ukraine pressure campaign was about harming a political rival rather than rooting out corruption, so no witnesses are necessary, therefore I will vote “not guilty.”

Unreliable characterizations even if stated as facts don’t become facts.

      • Boring non-reply is boring. How have I mischaracterized Alexander’s position? Try to be specific. If you can.

      • Alexander’s statement is an unreliable characterization.

  5. OT: Another reason to, as LotB advises, get on a career track that earns enough money to move away from poor people – your neighbors likely won’t commit arson and try to burn down your apartment building.
