Lion of the Blogosphere

About the blog

I was listening to the Al Stewart song “The Coldest Winter in Memory (was 1709)” in which he sings that King Charles XII of Sweden (1682-1718) was called the Lion of the North, and I thought that was a cool name for a blog. Except that the north has nothing to do with blogging, so I changed the name to “Lion of the Blogosphere.”

Although upon doing further research, Al Stewart may have confused Swedish kings, because according to Wikipedia, it was King Gustavus Adolphus (1594-1632) who was the Lion of the North.
