An attack against the bobo elite

Terrorist attacks are often meant to be symbolic rather than merely to kill people. So nothing is more symbolic than an attack against a marathon, which is the Most Important Sport to the bobo elite (as Christian Lander identified five years ago).

If you wanted to stage an attack that would really make the journalists and Mayor Bloomberg, the people who hold the real power in this country, angry at you, you couldn’t pick a better target than a marathon.

Did the person, or people, responsible for this attack actually understand that? Or is it just a coincidence?

In any event, this attack was most likely perpetrated by a Muslim or by some crazy person. White supremacists wouldn’t attack an event attended nearly entirely by white people. Militia types wouldn’t attack a sporting event, they’d attack some government office. So it could be a Muslim, or it could just be a crazy person, a James Holmes type.

  1. Doc at MassGen talking about “pipe bombs”, so its either Unabomber types or Dark Knight-esque crazy person.

    • i’m having a hard time believing an overseas terrorist would target the boston marathon finish line. as much as i agree that it would be a brilliant terrorist masterstroke to hit at the real interests of the elite – more than their prole citizens, or heartless wall streeters – and perhaps they understand us better than we think – seems it might be more likely some loser who took the dark night too seriously.

but we know that movies don’t inspire violent acts, so we should be looking at regulations on manufacturers of metal items and household chemicals. background checks to buy clorox. but the democrats will push back because their household help who does the shopping are undocumented.

i would think this is someone who is from boston or burbs, pretty familiar with how the marathon works. if you hadn’t seen it at least once before, perhaps several times, this would never make any sense, and it only happens once per year, so it’s not like it’s constantly in your face. i’ve been a spectator at the NYC marathon once, and the density at the sidelines where i was wasn’t that high.

if you were sitting in a cave trying to dream up terrorist schemes, it would certainly make no sense – why try to bomb people who are running? unless you know how and where the spectators will crowd around.

also – the bombs went off, which makes me think it might not have been a middle eastern terrorist. anyone with a brain in al cayda (i’ll spell it however i want) was killed a while ago. unless they have some new blood, always possible, i think an anders brevik type would make sense here.

    • It’s unlikely a doc at Mass General knows squat about pipe bombs or whether the injuries he’s seen are unique to that type of bomb. Let’s wait to see what experts on the subject have to say.

  2. It’s no coincidence. DC, Manhattan, and Boston, all centers of elite power.

Terror targets overseas include international hotels and elite nightclubs too.

The little people are massacred and driven out of cities by colored hordes.

Meanwhile the elites get hit on 911 and we have an indefinite “war on terror”.

    • Someone could have at least throw a stink bomb at the elites in DC, if the real thing is not possible.

What about Anders Breivik? Most of his victims were white.

  5. To be fair, he was attacking people he basically saw as race-traitors. He figured if he decapitated the future leadership of the Norwegian left then the right could stand a chance at preventing further immigration. He was a monster, but certainly he picked a much better target given his ideology than just blowing up or shooting an equivalent number of brown people.

    • To be fair, he was attacking people he basically saw as race-traitors.

The white supremacist terrorists target things that symbolizes something that threatens their ideology, e.g., that guy who shot up a Sikh temple and Brevik. Insane white nerds attack targets without an ideological purpose like the guy dressed as the Joker who shot up the theater in Colorado and Adam Lanza.

The Boston marathon doesn’t look like it’s either a white supremacist bombing and it’s too well coordinated to be the work of one crazy white nerd.

      I’m leaning towards Muslim.

Btw, isn’t today the start of Israeli Independence day? If it is then there’s another reason to think this is Islam related.

I bet it was a frustrated white beta who bombed this marathon.

  16. I’m from Boston. This is happening in my backyard, and I know a lot more about what’s going on here than you people do. I recall joking to a colleague once I learned that we had Monday off that maybe the Tea Party will demonstrate because it would both Tax Day AND Patriot’s Day. Well, maybe some Tea Party nut-bags did demonstrate, if you catch my drift. If that proves to be the case, the Republicans will be damned forever by association and they will never win the Presidency again. If so, then this is truly a time to rejoice!

Seriously, I think this will turn out to be an Al Qaeda confection.

Oh, and a few additional notes from a Boston native more knowledgeable than thou:

    1) Long before the Kenyans started dominating the race, the big heroes of the marathon were local working class guys of Irish descent, so the marathon’s roots are way less “elite” than you ignorant dickheads imagine.

    2) As for the truly imbecilic assumption that it was a case of White Beta Male rage, why would said Beta Male attack a bunch of skinny white guys and flat-chested chicks loping along sweaty and half-naked? If I were to indulge in some premium White Beta Male rage, I’d machine-gun Tom Brady during a Patriots game.

    • “I’m from Boston. This is happening in my backyard, and I know a lot more about what’s going on here than you people do.”

No you don’t but that’s alright.

“Long before the Kenyans started dominating the race, the big heroes of the marathon were local working class guys of Irish descent, so the marathon’s roots are way less “elite” than you ignorant dickheads imagine.”

The big heroes in “Bawwstin” still are working class Irish guys, though they may no longer be winning the marathons. Now they’re just supervising them as cops and firefighters. Hard to find a blue shirt in all of Mass who doesn’t have Irish roots and a townie accent. Unless they’re Black, that is.

“why would said Beta Male attack a bunch of skinny white guys”

It’s entirely plausible if we’re talking about an insane guy like James Holmes, who chose to gun down a theatre full of apparent comic book nerds. However, I don’t think that’s who we’re dealing with here. The method of attack (bringing an explosive suitcase into a crowd) makes me think of one group: Muzzies.

      • Hey – Delirious Allerious:

You are what we call in High IQ Boston a stone illiterate. The pseudo-word “alright” is actually a two-word phrase spelled “all right”. If you read a book once in a while instead of pulling on your over-sized skin tag of a pud and bleating with pleasure over the skinny-ass image of Ann Coulter on Fox News, you might have known that. And, actually, we Bostonians do know a lot more about what’s going on in Boston than you. Common sense dictates that, not politics.

Although I highly doubt it was white supremacists, it would make perfect sense for them to bomb a marathon as it is a magnet for race traitors and africans.

    • White supremacists aren’t sophisticated enough to understand any of that. They would bomb a Synagogue or some black event.

  19. I haven’t seen a lot of MSM media coverage so far. I sought out alt views first on purpose. What little MSM I have seen has tended to concentrate on gore. Specifically “flying limbs.” Correct me if I’m wrong, usually when spectacle killings of this magnitude (clearly designed for media attraction/attention) involving large groups of people, the media immediately spends most of its time looking for “who did it.” It seems different this time. Anyone getting the same vibe?
