HBD and hurricane Irma
Everything on the mainland north of Route 112 and the Julia Tuttle Causeway is solid black. (Until you get west to Hialeah which is nearly 100% Hispanic. South Florida is extremely segregated.)
Will the blacks behave poorly after the hurricane, as they did in New Orleans?
Note that Miami-Dade County is only 16% non-Hispanic white.
Ironically, the whites will probably have the worst property damage, they live in Miami Beach which will be entirely over-run by storm surge. The average elevation of Miami Beach is 6 feet, and there could be as much as a 20 foot storm surge. And Key Biscayne, which is also where rich whites live, will get it even worse.
The blacks will have the least property damage, they live inland, and north of the low-elevation areas.
Hispanics in Hialeah will fare well, Hispanics south of Miami will suffer storm surge and flooding damage, that’s all low-elevation swamp, that whole area will be underwater.

Half of the officers found guilty in the Danziger Bridge shootings were black. So, yes, Danziger Bridge is also an example of black misbehavior.

Lion, One of the reasons I love spending my vacations in Los Angeles instead of Miami is because of the demographics of the fun places. In Miami South Beach is clearly the best place to hang out and
south beach is the hang out place for all races and all socioeconomic groups. So you have a mix of violent ghetto gangbagers any time you are in South Beach. But in Los Angeles the cool spot is Abbott Kinney Boulevard, or York Avenue in Highland Park, or Silver Lake… All of which attract zero ghetto types. I think that South Beach is unique, there is no other place in
america where ghetto gangbangers mix with the top 1 percent, all are pedestrians on the same sidewalks in South Beach

If the storm maintains its current track, and Joe Bastardi is right about it getting stronger, then South Beach will be destroyed.

South Beach is a bunch of concrete buildings. It will not be “destroyed”. It will flood, but South Beach floods all the time. Wind damage will be minimal. For most of us down here the real fear is how long the power will be out. Hurricane Wilma (a barely Cat 2 storm that was the second most damaging Hurricane in FLA history just because it went through so slowly) left me without power for a week.

You should’ve gone to Memorial Day Bike Week this year. South Beach was overrun by gangbangers. I think I almost got shot a few times.

When I moved to Miami Beach in 1990, it was still mostly rundown rental motels occupied by retired, older Jewish folks. But right around that time is when Madonna and the modeling industry gave Miami Beach new life as a party place. There were no blacks other than hotel and restaurant workers by the time I left in 2000. I was there for a few days a couple of months ago and more thug-type blacks as the night goes on. I seemed to see more than a few black lesbians. But it’s still highly dominated by Cubans and other Hispanics and White tourists. I had been considering retiring there in a few years, but it’s not the same as 25 years ago when I was 25.

Katrina wasn’t just blacks behaving badly, it was also the insane incompetence from the NO mayor and LA gov. Plus the levees broke.
A major disaster will work out good for us cause it gives Trump and opportunity to look good doing the cleanup.
We really need this out of the news though cause we need to focus on DACA and on making sure Congress doesn’t pass it.

I drove through Homestead, Florida in January, 1993, about five months after Hurricane Andrew blew through. The devastation, even five months later, was unbelievable. I have never seen anything like it. Whole shopping malls had collapsed, homes still lacked roof or were blown completely off their slabs, bridges were washed away – I hope I never see anything like it again. It looked like a war zone.

A lot of the Hispanics are Cuban (who behave like guidos) but many are Puerto Rican (who behave like Puerto Ricans).

Hialeah has a mandatory evacuation. Black housing is in a terrible state, especially in Overtown. The Swpls will be getting hit hard because they love all the old housing in trendy neighborhoods, whilst the middle class Hispanics that love the brand new post hurrican Andrew code housing out west are in a better position.

Also worth mentioning that Jews mainly live in condos on the beach because they hate looking after a yard. Also a lot of them have all their family back in New York, so they are stuck in their condos on the beach with nowhere to run to.

That’s a cultural thing. It goes back to the Christians not allowing Jews to own land, so Jews were forced into city professions.

That’s basically true. Small numbers of Jews will hike, backpack or fish. Virtually none will hunt or trap. Very few tent camp or are into RVs.

In the early ’90s, I dated a delightful and attractive Cuban woman that lived in Little Havana. Jets departing and landing at MIA were so loud and close you could not have a conversation for longer than ten minutes. Her parents never learned English but held down jobs until their mid-60s and functioned perfectly well in Miami. The most exotic & sexy women in the world can be found at the Miami International Airport.
