How talk about the virus is being censored

Notice how a misspelling of coronavirus is trending, but not the correct spelling.

All of the major internet companies are shadowbanning or algorithmically deprecating posts about the virus. We rightly decried the heavy-handed censorship in China, but something very similar is happening in the United States. Instead of the government arresting people for posting about the virus, we have the soft censorship of “private” companies like Twitter hiding posts about the virus from people who aren’t going out of their way to look for them.

However, it looks like the censorship algorithm isn’t smart enough to hide “caronavirusoutbreak.” (And the reason this is trending is because people are making fun of Donald Trump for misspelling it in a tweet.)

  1. This is just more proof that the coronavirus is a hoax. China started it because it wants a massive disruption of the global supply chain instead of a steady redirect away from them. This is their method of sharing the burden all at once instead of being gradually isolated over time.

Italy is playing along because a) it is relatively costless to do this massive quarantine in Italy compared to Germany or France, and b) Italy’s globalist government wants to slam Trump and Salvini by creating an example against America’s “inadequate” response.

The gambit isn’t working because Trump is not engaging in any overreactions like the rest of the world, as anticipated by the Globalists. The globalists are now on the horns of a dilemma: they can’t loudly condemn Trump because, if nothing happens, then they look hysterical and unhinged. Since they know the coronavirus is a hoax, their hysterics will only result in that. At the same time, they can’t report actual outbreaks or engineer a limited outbreak with something less deadly, because the panic in blue-state cities like Chicago, Los Angeles and New York City will render these areas ungovernable. The Globalists would lose their command-and-control infrastructure.

Ask yourself why Twitter would be helping Trump contain information about Coronavirus when they could be using it to undermine his administration?

      • “The great thing about conspiracy theorists is that they are very good at sniffing out when the official story is wrong.”

I agree. I don’t really know how this got started or what kind of manipulations are going on behind the scenes. But I am very skeptical of the official story of how this originated, how it’s spreading and the potential threat it poses. And there are definitely inconsistencies in the way this is being handled by governments, mainstream and social media outlets, stock markets, medical establishment, etc. This may well be a serious threat to people in their 80s or a little younger with serious health problems. But I have still seen no evidence that this is a serious threat to anyone else. The mortality rates being quoted are skewed by the death rates in China and Iran where there have been the most cases and highest mortality. In other countries, the mortality rates are much, much lower. Not only has it been much less fatal in other countries, I suspect that it is already much more widespread than anyone realizes. I think people are getting it, spreading it and getting over it without realizing they even had it. I don’t know why it appears to be more serious in China and Iran than other places. This is based on limited information since there isn’t that much information available.

      • “map,

Just last week you were saying it was a US weapon against China. Now it’s a Chinese hoax?”

Why would that change my story?

Say it was a bio weapon designed to attack the Chinese indirectly. The Chinese did, however, discover what it did. So, they engineered a hoax to see how the US political system responded to a pandemic and to the following economic destruction.

Between now and last week, all that has changed is new information.

Look how very odd this whole situation is. Let’s assume the official story. There should be a worldwide all-hands-on-deck in containing, studying and fighting this coronavirus. China should be openly admitting WHO and CDC into their territory to study and collaborate on this problem. At the least, offshore medical facilities should be there with an international team dealing with this problem.

We are seeing none of this.

The Chinese are playing everything very close to the vest, as if they are guarding their vital statistic data from US intelligence agencies, which, I imagine, should not be a priority with a devastating pandemic supposedly running through their country.

And…AND…despite playing everything so close to the vest, there just happen to be Chinese citizens posting grainy videos of:

        1) Incinerated bodies.
        2) People being welded shut in apartment buildings.
        3) Dead bodies in public places.
        4) Medical professionals dropping dead in ER’s.
        5) People dropping dead in public places.
        6) Police arresting citizens for not wearing masks.
        7) People being forcefully removed from their homes.
        8) Empty cities.
        9) Border controls.

All of this…in a country famous for its social credit system and complete communication control.

Do you see how none of this adds up?

“@map There’s a theory that it originated at that research institute just a couple of blocks away from the market. Quite possible. They likely have bats there.”

Yeah, that’s possible…but…doesn’t it also seem silly?

You’re talking about a virology lab next to a food market, where said lab either has such poor containment procedures that it got out and infected the food market or…someone sold lab animals as meat to the market. This is too stupid to be believed…like the “30 years of Japanese economic stagnation” we’ve been hearing about from our press.

      • You think nobody screws things up or fails to follow procedures at work?????????????

I’ve worked for more than one sensitive part of the U.S. federal government, and I’ve got stories I can’t tell you about people screwing up there. The very concept of safe and slow being better than fast and sloppy is totally alien to Chinese society. Why is it at all hard to imagine that sloppy workers allowed this to escape from the lab where it was being researched?

Again big coincidence. If a horrible new disease broke out at The Depot by Kaldi’s Coffee in Atlanta, would we dismiss the geographic location as coincidence? I trust the American level-4 lab in Atlanta to follow safety procedures way more than I trust the Chinese level-4 lab in Wuhan.

        MoreSigmasThanYou

        February 26, 2020 at 8:13 PM

      • MoreSigmasThanYou,

Look, this is not a “breach in safety procedures.” This is out-of-left field stupidity: some guy took a bat that he was experimenting on and decided to sell it as food…supposedly.

What, exactly, are the logistics of that?

You’re wearing a positive-pressure hazmat suit with a self-contained air supply. Do you, what, put the bat in your pocket? What pockets? You tuck it in to the folds? Where? You leave the area through several layers of decontamination before you can even have the suit removed, usually with the help of someone else and your partner, because you are not going into a BSL4 lab area by yourself. You have a bag of bats that you collected and nobody noticed?

You do realize that disposal of organic material is left to the lab occupants onsite after the experiment. It does not go to a janitor. They probably incinerate on-site.

The bat virus would have to be contained in storage of some kind before use. Is it frozen? Live? Is the bat live when being handled? What if it escapes its cage or the handler? Is there a way to kill live animals in these labs without harming the scientist? Halon, maybe, to suck out the air so a flying bat drops dead? What else? Lab areas have to be cleaned. Chemical disinfectant? More halon? UV light? Radiation? Fire? How is the scientist decontaminated before he can leave the area? Do you see the issue with the logistics of removing something like a bat from the area? It’s why CDC Atlanta can run a BSL4 in the middle of a city.

The point is, that there is no margin of error when breaching any of these safety procedures. It’s like operating a scuba suit on a oil tanker. You have to follow procedure because you, your partner and anyone else involved would be dead if you don’t.

The r/Wuhan_Flu subreddit has a lot of people talking about prepping. Also reports from redditor in China or Iran or Europe.

    Update from inside Iran (self.Wuhan_Flu)

submitted 7 hours ago by Shallow96

Hi guys. I live in Iran, specifically city of Shiraz. So it’s pretty serious over here but unfortunately people aren’t taking Covid-19 seriously. This week schools were closed in Tehran so people stay indoors. But as soon as this was announced, A LOT of people took a vacation to the northern part of the country as holidays! This led to jammed traffics in roads of that part. Today our minister of health came on tv and basically begged people to take this seriously and announced that one of the northern states “Guilan” has become one of hot zones of the virus due to people going on holidays to the north. As for my city which is almost in the southern part of the country, you can see people occasionally wearing masks and gloves but most don’t use them properly. I was in a pharmacy and an old lady came up to me and ask how many times can she wash the mask she was wearing! I told her it’s for single use only and she exclaimed and said she had already washed it 4 times! Another time i was in an insurance office and saw a lady taking her mask off to sneeze and then put it back on again! As for prepping, the only shortages are masks, hand sanitizers and plastic gloves. Everything else can be found pretty easily. And as for the cherry on top, our president has announced that as of next Saturday, all schools will be reopened and everything will resume as usual! Pray for us.

That thing where some high-ranking health official on TV was wiping sweat from his face and later said he had Covid seems almost staged.

      But staged to what end?

To appear weak and ill in public… people seem to say, get that guy out of here. He can’t lead if he’s sick. I bet this is hard-wired, evolved from people demanding the tribe leader be at least in good health.

  8. But he’s correct that Reagan was blamed. I remember the smear and it was ridiculous. The Lefties who fought closing the bath houses and by doing so exacerbated the problem sought to displace blame onto Reagan. Next they started calling patients heroes and started a demonization campaign against anyone who blamed gays for the disease. The intensity and one sidedness of the propaganda campaign not to mention the central role of the media was really eye opening for me and likely steered me harder and faster towards the Right.

Two women I knew very well were dating guys who came down with the disease and these girls were hugging the porcelain god for the entire six weeks it took to get test results back. One of whom I’d expressed my reservations to before the diagnosis about the sexuality of her boyfriend and I received a strong rebuke. She didn’t catch the disease and later married a very conservative guy. Same with the other girl. I believe this brush with death changed them.

Two guys I’d known well and never suspected of being gay died from the disease.
