Of course HRC cares more about bathrooms than blue-collar whites

WaPo article about a Democrat who wrote a memo to the Clinton campaign which was ignored.

“Look, I’m as progressive as anybody, okay? But people in the heartland thought the Democratic Party cared more about where someone else went to the restroom than whether they had a good-paying job,” [David Betras] complained. “‘Stronger together’ doesn’t get anyone a job.”

Of course HRC cares a lot more about bathrooms than about blue-collar whites. Transgender bathrooms are the next phase of the war against the evil inequality caused by traditional gender relations.

Liberals believe that all whites have “white privilege,” and they also don’t believe in genetic differences in IQ or other attributes, therefore if someone born with “white privilege” doesn’t go to college and then winds up unemployed or with a crappy low-paying job, it means it’s their fault for being too lazy to go to college. They believe that blue-collar whites are stupid, but it’s a stupidity caused by laziness, they were too lazy to go to college and become smart. They are morally responsible for their economic situation. Why should HRC care about blue-collar whites when there are minorities who are victims of pervasive racism who are genuinely deserving of being helped?

When HRC called Trump’s supporters “deplorables,” it was a slip of the tongue that showed how she really felt. Too lazy to go to college, and then blaming their problems on underprivileged victimized Mexican immigrants, people who genuinely need HRC’s help. That’s truly deplorable.

* * *

In response to the #BoycottHamilton hashtag that got some play on Twitter after Pence was unprofessionally dressed down by the cast, we saw many SJW tweeters say things like “Trump voters are too poor to afford tickets,” which demonstrates how they feel they deserve to be wealthier than blue-collar whites, because unlike those wrong kind of white people, they weren’t too lazy to go to college and become smart.

  2. Wow, I just got a recorded telephone message from Donald Trump. At first I thought somebody had screwed up and was still making elections calls, but I listened on and it was about Obamacare and how he will be introducing legislation to “repeal and replace” it and a call to urge me to pressure my congressmen to support his bill. This is unprecedented in my experience. Someone also has plenty of money because my congressman and senators would all be supportive of that anyway. They aren’t targeting Democrat officials but apparently hitting the entire country with these calls.

He needs to do something about Obamacare to satisfy the GOPe. In exchange he will get his stimulus bill, funding for the wall and defunding of sanctuary cities. It’s a good trade.

    • I get the feeling that some of these initiatives (also including tax reform) are good old cuck plans boiling up now that the battle is won. That also explains the old school methods and sudden influx of money to pursue this.

To the Trumpistas, I’d say this: While some of this has to be done, don’t get drawn too far into the circus of business as usual and making big money wishlists into agendas. Remember who got you elected and why. It sure wasn’t business as usual.

We give them tax cuts, deregulation, union busting and deregulation and in exchange we get their support for our xenophobic, populist agenda. It is a tried and trued method that has worked in many different nations over the course of the last century.

  3. Perhaps the greatest irony about the cast of “Hamilton”(?) jeering Pence was that Trump won the Presidency thanks to Alexander Hamilton’s insisting, on elitist grounds, that the Constitution require the Electoral College elect the president, not the popular vote.

    https://pragmaticallydistributed.wordpress.com/2016/11/20/hamilton-against-anarcho-libertarians-hamilton-against-hamilton/

and the intruder of the moment is this hashtag event involving the treatment of Vice President-elect Pence at the hands of the cast of “Hamilton”.

    How wrong is this?

Trump’s wisdom was to run for the presidency on the most Hamiltonian platform in a century; Trump’s genius was to win by disguising Hamilton’s crypto-Royalism as Jacksonian populism.

The result of the hijacking of the Republican party by Trump has been to pull it back (unwillingly) to its glorious origins in Hamilton’s Federalist Party and Lincoln’s Golden Age GOP of 1860 to 1932; and for this his Vice President-elect was heckled by the pothead actors of “Hamilton” who have never read any books and consequently do not realize the electoral college they want abolished was a favorite project of Hamilton.

  4. It’s worth noting that people instinctively feel that being poor is bad, and non-poor people are inevitably going to look on poor people with distaste. When liberals look at poor whites, they’re simply allowing themselves to feel the gut-level reaction that anyone would feel upon looking at any poor people. It’s only when looking at poor NAMs that they must suppress that gut reaction and tell themselves that those people are poor only because they’re being oppressed by white privilege and the systemic racism of our white supremacist society.

I hadn’t even known how a steam boiler worked until yesterday, but now I do. Plumbing is tons of fun. This whole thing of white collar vs white collar is stupid. What matters is that you do real useful stuff and enjoy it. Plumbing is a terrific field. Just terrific. Very empowering. Oh, and before I forget, the money, mates, the money is just terrific too. A plumber can surely afford a ticket to watch ‘Hamilton’, but why would he do it? I’ve only been to a Broadway theater to fix AC. Nice people, but lots of phonies in the audience. Gas burners and valves, water lines, pressure, temperature and ignition controls – HVAC has all of this. Pay attention to what’s written on plumber’s trucks. Many do ductless installation and for the same reason – to generate additional income. This is America where the sky is the limit. Never forget this. You’re right, but the difference is, Trump’s political future is dependent upon his base of working class whites, whereas Hillary thought she didn’t need them and could govern like she didn’t need them as well. So it really was rational for a working class white to vote Trump. Now maybe Trump realizes the gig isn’t for him and just implodes hilariously in a way that totally screws working whites, but with Hillary you knew going in exactly what she was.

      • I really don’t feel like the media coverage has been that bad. I can only think of only 2 examples of anti Trump bias in the MSM this election season: 1. In the aftermath of the Pussy tape it seemed like for about a week or so the MSM transformed into an arm of the Hillary campaign. That only lasted for about a week, however. 2. The entire campaign we got propaganda from the media that “Trump’s campaign is in disarray!”. Now that the campaign is over we are getting “Trump’s transition is in disarray!”. But it really isn’t that bad and also it is probably true in comparison to previous campaigns and administrations, Trump does everything so much differently.

The media hammered Hillary on the emails for the last week of the race, and without that I don’t know if Trump gets elected.

Trump’s problem has never been the media, it has been Trump himself. The guy is a buffoon and his clownishness turns off most college educated whites. Suburban whites simply do not care for politicians like Trump, they want to be led by guys like John Kasich, guys who they regard as “Presidential”.

Blaming the media for Trump’s unfavorables is as misguided as liberals who blame the media for Hillary’s unfavorables.

  10. I would like to revise the numbers in my early post about the natural margins of Hillary’s popular vote victory.

I said that voter fraud was only made a point 0.1 point difference in Hillary’s margin at most, I am changing that to a 0.2 margin. I also said that Romney voters who voted for Hillary only added to Hillary’s margin by 0.2 points. After closer examination of exit polls, I am, very conservatively, changing that number to 1.5 points.

Assuming the Dems run Cory Booker, or another good black candidate in 2020, the Democrats natural margin would be a popular vote victory of 2.3 points, as opposed to my earlier estimate of 3.8 points.

Were Trump to flip another 3 points worth of Hillary’s white votes, Trump’s would win the popular vote by a projected margin of 1.8%. Were he to gain an extra 5 points with non-black non-whites, he would increase his projected margin to 2.8%.

As for the stock market and the economy: looking at PE ratios, stocks aren’t that expensive. a market crash is certainly possible, but stocks simply aren’t as overpriced as they were during the dotcom bubble. I don’t think the stock market is too much of a worry right now.

A recession is baked into the cake but the destruction of immigrant community combined with massive deficit spending should minimize the pain as well as provide the public with distractions. Less important than the recession, however, is when the recession occurs. We don’t want it to occur in the first or last year of Trump’s term. Best is probably Trump’s 3rd year although it will probably occur this coming year.

This is just a straw-man argument. Liberals don’t think like that. Liberals think everyone should be given an equal opportunity to be successful. Trump doesn’t care about blue-collar whites. Trump has spent his whole live avoiding having to live with or associate with blue-collar people. Trump routinely stiffed blue-collar people and refused to pay them because he could get away with it.

The truth is unions helped create the good paying jobs for blue-collar people, but that made the cost of labor much higher in the USA than elsewhere in the world. Companies were forced to offshore manufacturing or go out of business. That is the way Capitalism works.

The Republican party is very pro-business and anti-labor. I don’t think Trump is all that different. The Republican party used social and cultural issues to convince blue-collar people to vote against their economic self-interest for the last 50 years. Trump just did a better job of marketing social and cultural resentment than previous Republicans.
