  1. Mexico is an enemy state. I will not be praying for Mexico, the most evil nation in human history.

    • Nazi Germany is the most evil nation in human history.

      • Stop taking Otis seriously. He is an obvious troll. Interesting, but a troll.

      • the most evil nation in human history.

        In galactic history.

But Otis does have a habit of understating his case.

      • not the mongol empire? or the assyrian empire, or the aztec empire? even the romans carried out mass genocides regularly, such as against the gauls, jews and carthaginians.

    • Lol Mexico is a mess. But has Mexico really done more damage than invading and overthrowing the standing government of 3 nations?

  3. At lunch today in Marin County, seated next to two ugly, 60-something matrons. One mentions the earthquake, and the other says “yeah, like the climate isn’t warming.” Hillary voters, sheesh!

  4. If Obamacare repeal happens, and I think that it probably won’t, then doesn’t that mean “The Resistance” is batting 000?

Lost on the Muslim ban, lost on Comey, Russia still hasn’t turned into anything, lost on TPP, lost on Paris, lost on Gorusch, lost on Arpaio, lost on DACA, lost MT-AL and lost GA-06.

I’m not saying they shouldn’t fight for their beliefs and it is possible that without the widespread ferocity of The Resistance that Trump would have been able to get more of his agenda through, but so far they seem very ineffectual. Certainly more ineffectual than the Tea Party appeared to be at this time in 2009. Although the Tea Party had the advantage of Obama inheriting an economic meltdown, whereas Trump has inherited an economic boom.

    • Lost on muslim ban? Was the Seattle judge overruled? I must have missed it (don’t tell me to Google – I’ve been banned for “hate”).

      You know me

      September 20, 2017 at 11:32 AM

      • Yeah, the SC allowed the ban to go into effect pending the final ruling which most SC watchers predict that Trump will win.

  5. Based on its demographics, Mexico City should function about as well as LA or New York, but the problem is corruption. If we allow ourselves to become as corrupt as Mexico in general, then yes, we will see stuff happen like wealthy developers being allowed to pay off building inspectors and insurance people to skirt building codes, with predictable results. Ordinarily I don’t have much use for plaintiff’s lawyers, but the threat of lawsuits could be one thing keeping our buildings safer than would otherwise be the case.

    • NYC is corrupt and a mess and isn’t getting better any time soon. Mexico maybe worse, but that’s hardly a consolation. You gotta make it work for you though, or you are toast, I mean a dinosaur.

      • NYC is by far the best hole among all dung holes in America.

Really! Name a great place in America that is livable and interesting. It’s just a wasteland of gas guzzling vehicles, out and about.

    • The immigrants bring the corruption from their homeland with them. Especially when there is mass immigration and they all settle together, For example, there are some small towns in California which are majority Latino/Hispanic, and they have had corrupt officials.

      Bell, California:
      https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/City_of_Bell_scandal

Here is glowing article in the NYT about the all Hispanic city council in Santa Ana, California:
The NYT informs us that a Hispanic majority is the new normal (but notes that Hispanics are still poorer and less educated than others)

I googled “Santa Ana California corruption” and this is one of the first things to come up:

      https://www.justice.gov/usao-cdca/pr/dozen-people-including-former-oc-superior-court-clerk-indicted-bribery-scheme-fix-0

      http://www.latimes.com/local/orangecounty/la-me-oc-fixed-tickets-20150620-story.html

“the scheme appeared to target predominantly Latino defendants.”

Blacks in America seem to have their own corrupt subculture, and many black ex-mayors and other politicians are in jail.

In Canada Quebec is known to be more corrupt than Anglo-Canada. This problem has had several hundred years to go away, and it is not going away.

      • Strangely, I haven’t met many Québecois in the states, especially in New York City. A few that I’ve met work in the cultural and medical fields, where as Anglophones from Toronto are quite common here, especially in lucrative industries like Wall St.

Québec must be a place that has a good quality of life, despite commanding the lowest salaries among the Canadian provinces. The natives’ priorities of good living and socialization trumps the Anglosphere’s emphasis on money and consumerism.

  6. I like Mexicans – good workers (for the price, obviously), happy go lucky guys. Working with them I got to know the music of great singers like Ana Gabriel and Rocio Durcal. Many people like blaming others for their problem. Had the US wanted, it could have closed the border and deported all the illegals a long time ago. I hope they suffer as little harm as possible. All the best wishes for Mexico.

  8. DKos commentors respond to possible Obamacare repeal by… blaming Bernie Sanders: https://www.dailykos.com/stories/2017/9/18/1699499/-Scare-tactics-Lindsey-Graham-style-Repeal-Obamacare-or-else-Bernie-Care-is-coming

Man, the establishment/woke-left just fucking hate Bernie. They blame the guy for everything.
