The coming October surprise

There have been a lot of articles in the MSM recently worrying about Trump coming up with some October surprise. They’re especially worried about the announcement of a vaccine, which they think would allow Trump to say that he beat the pandemic and he’s a hero.

Unfortunately for Trump supporters, that particular October surprise is unlikely to happen, because all of the big vaccine makers have gotten together and agreed that they aren’t going to apply for approval with the FDA until November 4th at the earliest. Of course, that’s not exactly what they said for public consumption, but CEOs of big corporations don’t want Trump to win the election and they have now joined the anti-Trump team. They don’t care that Trump massively cut their taxes, Trump’s prole-stink is too strong for them to hold their noses and do something that would help him win.

Going back to the topic of the MSM worrying about an October surprise from Trump, we have seen over and over again that liberals tend to publicly fret over Trump doing something that the liberals know their side is doing. So if there’s going to be a big October surprise, you can be sure it’s going to come from the liberal MSM and not the Trump side.

The only hope for Trump supporters is that the MSM is too stupid to understand the difference between a good October surprise and a bad one. Liberals continue to be fixated on racism, sexism, homophobia, and think the biggest possible killing blow would come from something having to do with Trump saying things along those lines. Liberals thought they beat Trump with that stuff four years ago, but it turned out the proles don’t give a crap that Trump said some locker-room talk in private. Why would they vote against Trump for saying the same kind of stuff that they’ve said themselves in private? The prole whites are sick and tired of political correctness.

The recent revelation that Trump called soldiers “suckers” is an example of an effective type of story. The prole whites love the military (because they really are suckers just as Trump said, but they don’t want to hear it), so it’s certainly going to hurt Trump with his base.

So far, the retired General Kelly, Trump’s former Chief of Staff, has remained silent about confirming or denying the story, but that’s an example of how Trump has set himself up to fail. There are so many people that used to work for Trump who now hate him. I’d say there’s a pretty good chance that Kelly or someone else close to his stature is going to come out with some pretty salacious info in October.

  1. I’ve been wondering about the upcoming October surprise on Trump, as to what do the MSM/DNC think would really work this time around. Remember they thought the Hollywood Access tape would sink Trump for sure, and really had a hard time accepting that it didn’t.

Which makes me think that this week’s “military are losers” bit was a test run on what they think might be effective on depressing the turnout of Trump’s base. Of course the problem with this is that it was ridiculous, even after all of the serious “news” coverage it got. However something like this dropping every single day in the week before the election might have some effect. It would put Trump on the defensive at a critical time, and after the election, who cares if all the stories are fake? Oops.

  2. So what if Trump called some random people “losers” or “suckers”. It will not away my opinion of him and I didn’t even vote for Donnie boy in 2016. This too shall pass. Some days I hope Trump is going to pull some rabbit out of a hat and pull all the experts wrong.
Media really is all-in trying to collude against Trump.

    • Trump was talking about WW1 soldiers. Trump himself is descended from Germans on his father’s side, so would it not be understandable (and I accept this is very hypothetical) for him to have some ambivalance about that war?

You can make the argument that when people emigrate they are obliged to take on the history and allegiances of their adopted country, so the Trumps should view WW1 through a pro-American lens. But is this kind of demand made of non-white immigrants to America? Would the American media care or object if Ilhan Omar made it clear that her sympathies were with the Somalis rather than the Americans in ‘Black Hawk Down’?

By criticising Trump for his comments the media seem to be making an assumption that white immigrants must integrate into America, whereas non-whites don’t. Which would be fair enough, except that they are usually the ones complaining that white Americans are seen as ‘core Americans’ and others are reduced to a more marginal status. But subconsciously, even the American media uphold that standard. In fact, they need them to uphold that standard. White Americans are in a ‘damned if they do and damned if they don’t’ situation with regards to embodying what it means to be American.

  3. A president has a lot of carrots and sticks at his disposal to incentivize drug companies to release as early as possible, ** Not sure Trump knows how to use them, but it would be a pretty big risk for a drug company to piss off a prez with such shenanigans.

    • Reasonable timeline of a vaccine is 5 years. With huge urgency I can understand it a couple of years. Without political agendas, will anyone trust the vaccine if its rushed without full phase 3 results which Nov1 timeline involves.

I am desperate to get vaccine very quickly so I can travel soon. I already cancelled 1 vacation in April and postponed 1 in September to next year (both were forced circumstances because Americans not allowed in either of the countries yet). Even with such desperation, I will not go rushing to get the vaccine if its released in Nov 1. What do you think average Joe is going to do with such timeline.

      • I am completely convinced that the world will return to normalcy long before the vaccine is delivered. Most global pandemics reach herd immunity after 1 year, a bit more, a bit less. Just look at the history of all flu pandemics in the 20th century. Even in NJ are reopening gyms.

If you are not living in NY, NJ, CA, OR or WA, where they keep lockdowns just out of spite for Trump, life is 90% normal at this point.

      • David Chase, the creator of the Sopranos, was really born as David DeCesare, whose dad operated a hardware store in the Hudson Valley. He grew up as a prole like many of us, but managed to associate himself with prestigious institutions like NYU and Stanford University.

If there is any reason why Columbia University is associated with the Sopranos, look no further to an Italian American whose family Anglicized their surname and an individual who struggled with his identity growing up as an Italian prole, where his parents berated him for going into film studies. You would expect his dad to support his endeavors in film studies, given that it was him who adopted an Anglo surname.

        September 10, 2020 at 9:24 AM

      • Sopranos is a comedy with Mafioso themes, and here’s a segment about Chinese takeout food:

Here is a Seinfeld scene at the Chinese restaurant, where eating out frequently, being seen at a restaurant in Manhattan is generally afforded to those with means, where dining in making their one’s food is prolish, pre-pandemic times.

Now contrast the Sopranos and Everybody Loves Raymond (both shows that take place in the suburbs for the lower classes, meaning that these people live in the boring, provincial suburbs year round) with Seinfeld (Jewish proles who live in the concrete jungle of Manhattan with all kinds of benefits by living in proximity to the WASP establishment that indulge in “cosmpolitanism” and “culture”). The Northeast Italian Americans (and their Catholic Irish counterparts) just aren’t much of an urban people like their Jewish neighbors, hence a lower success rate in occupation niches that only require brain power, but a sense of “open mindedness”. There’s a reason why Manhattan was always for the elites with their 2nd homes in the suburbs as merely a vacation home. It is generally regarded that wealthy Jews live on the Upper West Side of Manhattan as the new wealth where wealthy White gentiles live on the Upper East Side of Manhattan as old money, but there are now as many Jews residing on the Upper East Side as there are on the Upper West Side.

  5. My advice to the Trump campaign:

Show the world how liberals/left/progressives run the show: Dumpster fires, unchecked looting and riots in blue cities near you, and insurance companies not paying out after devastating riots… All while pc liberals are sitting at cafes posting on social media cheering all this on while lying that reopening schools is a dangerous public health hazard (as opposed to walking on smashed glass and getting attacked at a riot) so they’re with the teacher’s union to keep schools closed indefinitely.

  7. The military and law enforcement/mercenary apparatus provide an impetus for proles with a sadistic bent, who otherwise can’t find another outlet to express their power over others. Furthermore and more importantly, without a sadistic and ruthless military, American elites could never enjoy their status they so cherish today.

Without proles, SWPLs/ White Elites could never enjoy the fruits of their labor, which they themselves could never achieve.

  8. The revelation that Trump has done nothing to retaliate against Russia for offering bounties for American scalps in Afghanistan should have been a far bigger story than Trump being an asshole (plus the collusion documented in the Senate report, plus the odd unwillingness of Trump to ever blame Putin for anything) But now we have right wing Americans convinced that Putin is our buddy and a left wing who can’t make a credible stand on national security because they are worried about race and trans issues. So we’re fucked basically.

The Russian government has no strong feelings on secularism or Islamic nationalism in the Middle East as long as the Muslim extremists stay out of Russia. Russia is quite happy to work with the Iranians, for example, because Shiites are a tiny minority in Russia. Russian intelligence has also infiltrated most of the main Islamic terrorist groups in Europe thanks to the Chechen and Central Asian connections.

The UAE is by far the most diversified economy in the Gulf and the one with the best long term prospects. Russia is at present aiding the remnants of Gaddafi’s Libya as well. Until Turkey deciares a caliphate it remains a secular country as well and is a Russian frenemy. Russia being a dominant power in the middle east again is a very positive development.

As for Generals, you haven’t kept track of how Trump voters actually view the military. They know America has not fought a near-peer enemy since 1945. They know that the officer corp of today’s military above colonel isn’t warfighters, but politicians and bureaucrats. If your military career is leading men into battle against goat-herders and peasants…and losing…well, you aren’t getting any kudos for that.

No one is going to care what “Unmarried Mattis” or “DHS Boyfriend” Kelly has to say about Trump or anyone else. Loving the military is not the same as caring about some retired goon.

Half of America’s wars were not only unnecessary but against our interests. There was one war, however, that we didn’t fight but should have. We should have backed India in the Sino-Indian war. • The surprise is that Trump still has a chance to pull off the upset. Look, since the start of the year there has been at least a loosely coordinated if not completely orchestrated campaign against Trump involving every major media outlet with the possible exception of Fox News (who is not 100% in the bag for Trump, BTW), Corona virus goalposts that are constantly being moved, i.e. stay closed until the “curve is flattened” became “lock down until there is a vaccine,” stories like the one about WW I where no one speaks for attribution, but “everyone knows” Trump said whatever it was that that he was supposed to have said, tell-all books coming out 60 to 90 days before the election etc, etc,

I don’t like Trump, I think he has been pretty ineffective (the shrieking from the left about his being a fascist and a dictator notwithstanding), he listens to the wrong people, and his braggadocio is really off-putting. But a lot of people think that the alternative, is dangerous. The left has already all but said that any outcome short of a Biden landslide is unacceptable and will lead to large scale unrest. The Transition Integrity Project has said so, only they’re blaming whatever violence there may be on disgruntled Trump voters in advance. All the violence I’ve seen this summer is coming almost exclusively from Antifa, BLM, and their supporters so the safe way to bet is that if there is violence this fall it will be coming from the same quarter.

Trump calls out losers like McCain who coasted all his life on his father’s connections despite crashing multiple fighter jets then getting shot down over Vietnam squealing like pig to avoid torture but it gets spun as Trump deriding all servicemen.

At this point everyone is aware of the deep state, democratic party, mainstream media, tech company nexus. They constantly engage in propaganda creation, fake news, planted stories, and “anonymous sources”. The purpose of which is to keep their base in a constant state of excitement and agitation while putting their enemies on the defensive. • Although the Lion of three years ago would probably be more skeptical of ridiculous unsourced anti Trump claims in the media, this one, about calling fallen soldiers “losers” would still sound believable to him since he feels the same way and has expressed as much on his blog. It makes me curious as to how much of the country feels this way. Unfortunately it’s probably unpollable since I doubt most people who feel that way would answer honestly. I am curious as to what the breakdown would be between urban/suburban/rural split.

You are allowing yourself to fall in the trap of most hysterical anti Trump characters by believing anything, no matter how ridiculous, as long as it’s negative against Trump. Are you reconsidering whether Trump is a Russian mole who was trying to contact his handlers on live TV by saying, “Russia if your listening…?”

    • Right. The whole story is absurd and not remotely believable. Trump has a hard-on for anyone in uniform and and if they if someone is missing a limb or is otherwise wounded then Trump has a schoolgirl crush and is smitten. If the rumor was that he groped an amputee’s stump that would be more believable, knowing Trump.

The media lies are offensive for being so ridiculous. They think we are idiots. The Russia nonsense, that Russia controlled Trump and installed him as their man was so retarded that it was offensive to me. Trump isn’t managed by his own handlers and staff, and somehow he is supposed to be a puppet of Russia?

The propaganda in clown world isn’t even good. And the candidates that they put forth, Hillary and now Biden, are mindless fools just spouting this extremely dumb propaganda. Hillary still can’t stop about Russia. With Biden it is disappointing because he used to be smart and sharp. Watch his very high-speed, extremely sharp speaking from the 1990s and it is clear that he has lost most of his mental capability. Now he just slurs the dumb narrative slowly off his teleprompter.

There isn’t anything conservative or liberal when a man wants to attain status in a status oriented society such as America. You have very successful men who give away money and engage in pet projects (as a way to care about society) only to score extra points in the status arena. Philanthropy is only afforded to the most successful.

Look at what is happening with medicine. Under the “capitalist” medical system, I was told that we have wonderful equipment and services because America is the only place where medicine can actually make money. That created the impression that much of our medicine, medical equipment, and devices are made here. We should have a robust medical manufacturing industry.

        Then COVID hit.

Suddenly, we can’t find PPE, ventilators, or enough hospital beds, to handle anything. It turns out, most of this crap is made in China, including generic drugs and precursors. If the 2016 election was a referendum on whether America’s immigration laws should be enforced, 2020 is a referendum on whether there is a difference between talk and action. His executive order said he was to prepare another executive order which would actually do something within 30 days. It’s been 30 days and we still haven’t seen it.

On that front I’ll help you out read my entire post on the history of Marxism. Russian history and capitalist history (including US history) ebbs and flows into each other. That type of law is called common law which is separate from statutory law the latter being passed by a legislature. There is a reason why lawyers and other professionally educated people are in charge of everything of importance in America.

In addition, many states have early voting and will started well before mid October. At best an October surprise will be more about depressing turnout for the opponents voters.

An October surprise also assume persuadable voters whereas in 2020 there are few persuadable voters. Elections are build on turnout, not persuasion. What kind of October Surprise could the Trump campaign or its allies come up with that will discourage blacks, Latinos, Jews, and urban whites from voting for Biden?

In addition, so many of the people who used to work for him are leakers and try to damage him.

  19. Proles largely don’t believe rumors about Trump, even when true.

An effect that is created by the elimination of the press’s journalistic credibility in their minds, due to the press’s acknowledged political activism in regard to Trump.

Anti Trump stories are white noise for conservatives (loosely: proles) and click-bait for the Left.

To belabor the point: you can only yell “fire” in the theater so many times before people ignore you and then eventually plan for your institutional replacement.

They want to watch the film for which they paid,

Constantly yelling about often-false and yet deeply interfering stories interferes with that.

In response, Trump supporters collect ever more political currency. Their mob will eventually win in regard to some points of political interest. The Press needs to reform itself so that it survives.

This present dynamic is obviously not good for democracy, but neither was committing the MSM as the DNC propaganda arm.

Couching the corporate Press as “free” and deserving as some sort of special credibility was always a democratically-flawed concept.

Trump just prohibited critical race training in the Federal government, which is as good as a Federal bureaucracy moral-mandate going forward. Especially given the commentary submitted with the prohibition.

For Trump’s political-interest-fulfillment starved base, that’s as good an October surprise as can be expected.

Just like Antifa will never quite escape the domestic terrorist label going forward, a cascading refutation of critical race theory will be expected within institutions. That effect will obviously be blunted to a degree due to the left’s control of so many institutions, but the effect will never quite diminish and will be continuously felt.

In essence, anyone who reinstates within the federal training system will be explicitly doing so with the accepted context that all Whites are racist.

Prior, the government wasn’t forced to explicitly accept that premise. Critical race training was just one more type of training that the government offered.

In the minds of the plausible deniers: the Federal Government, in any formalized sense, may not have even been aware of, and certainly not responsible for promoting, the racial ideology of one of hundreds of training types that they contract out for.

Going, forward, there is no plausible deniability.

The offer of this training will also have to at least implicitly confront, accept, or deny the White House charge of anti-White racism.

There aren’t many people with the Power Level who will have the political currency to refute it or make anti White racism formally acceptable at the Federal Level. It can happen, no doubt, but that act will use up an inordinate amount of political currency at the highest level (as a formal decree of one of the three branches). Insofar as the Federal Government will remain anti-White to any degree and within any bureaucracy within it, it will likely be accomplished with more subtle means. However, they may now have a fight on their hands going forward.

  20. While carrying is of course the absolute best means of self-protection sometimes it isn’t possible. In those situations, a Byrna HD just might save your posterior. It’s an air pistol that fires hard plastic balls at 300 feet per second from a 5-round magazine. The impact from one of these is extremely unlikely to be lethal, so you will face far fewer legal complications, but is hard enough to stop a criminal in his tracks. For even better effect it can fire balls containing a powered form of pepper spray. Speaking of which, the Byrna has a much greater effective range than conventional pepper spray, and the farther away you can stop the criminal the better.
Legally, the Byrna isn’t a firearm and can be purchased and carried without permits or other paperwork. Naturally enough it’s not legal in NYC, but it’s fine elsewhere in the state. Another downside is that it’s about the size of a large pistol, and therefore difficut to conceal unless you’re wearing heavy clothing. Carrying one openly is legal but probably not advisable because it might cause alarm. But for carrying one in your car, or a bag, or a woman’s purse, it’s great.
A Byrna runs about $350, and delivery times are running about two months.

None of this corroborating evidence exists. It just exists in the minds of Trump-haters, when Trump has done enormous good for the military and for the VA.

Meanwhile, there is plenty of audio/video of Joe Biden: 1) Cornpop; 2) how much he likes kids bouncing on his lap; 3) kids running their hands up his wet legs and watching the hair pop up; 4) Bragging about getting a Ukrainian prosecutor fired to help his son; 5) getting all handsy with children in the Senate.

  24. The real October surprise will be Trump invoking the Insurrection Act, which grants him enormous powers.

    1) Arrest and indefinitely hold all public officials — including mayors, governors, state legislators, federal judges, and law enforcement officials — who support “rebellion” against the United States or who have “given aid or comfort” to the enemies of America. (Section 3)

    2) Eliminate House of Representatives positions for California and other states which are engaged in supporting Big Tech censorship platforms that are supporting the rebellion against the United States of America and “abridging” the right of voting-aged citizens to participate in elections (via censorship). This implies that Electoral College votes would also be proportionally reduced in these states. (Section 2) It would also apply to states like Oregon which are reportedly funding “war encampment” installations that house insurrectionists who are unleashed each night to attack federal buildings and federal law enforcement officers.

    3) Eliminate all federal financial support for cities and states which are engaged in “insurrection or rebellion” against the United States. Section 3 specifically states that all such claims of federal money obligations to the states “shall be held illegal and void.” (Section 4)

A moving company by the name of Elite Moving just shoved a family to Scarsdale per the article (wait, I thought every deep pocket rob n barren who made their fortunes via value transference is moving to the Hamptons?).

There is an interesting story about a balding mid 30s Hell’s Kitchen resident who is engaged in value transference and is now living with his mom in Hastings on Hudson (a small boring river town in Lower Westchester). Says he loves NYC, but he had to move to a quiet environment for safety concerns.

      https://nypost.com/2020/08/11/new-yorkers-flee-nyc-in-droves/

  26. Re: “Amazon works” on your twitter feed

Its grocery store, Whole Foods, which also reflects the same values before its acquisition, isn’t packed like Trader Joe’s with its riff n raff shoppers grabbing every item like vultures, stemming from its cheaply priced items that elicit a scarcity yet irrational mindset. Cost prohibition also causes undesirables to stay away. Instead of spraying disinfectant on the hands of shoppers like Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods provides self-serve hand sanitizing dispensers. Instead of forcing their employees to be security guards like Trader Joe’s, Whole Foods provides actual security guards for its workers and shoppers.

So yes, Amazon works like your capitalism motto that getting a better paying job affords you better things, better service, better living and an avoidance of riff n raff. Proles suck, and they’re only good for doing dirty work that you otherwise would cringe.

My speculation as to why the Finger Lakes is considered a “wine country” like the Napa Valley in California, where as the Hudson Valley despite its numerous vineyards is not, might have to do with the “intellect” of the owners and how this reflects their branding of wine.

  28. I don’t think the left has an October Surprise. They’ll just keep up the negative stories until after the election. Trump is doing remarkably well with minorities. which spells doom for Biden. Biden isn’t moving the needle at all. He’s way too old and senile to even handle softball questions now. The debates should be Trump trouncing that lunkhead. Biden was a fool before senility set in. Obama used him as assassination insurance.
I think Trump will win. There is no enthusiasm for Biden-Harris. Most of the votes will be anti-Trump voters, but how many of the voters will actually show up is a question. Minorities are notorious for not showing up. Biden has very little ground game. He’s coasting. I think he’ll even lose the popular vote.
The debates will be a one sided affair I’d expect. Biden is reading off the teleprompter. So much so that he’s saying the non-verbal parts of the feed. He’s toast in the debates. He’ll come off poorly at best.
If all of you think a Billionaire is “prole”, you don’t know the meaning of that word. Trump comes across as a bit crass, but this is the Age of the Kardashians. His blunt style is appreciated by the average voter. Biden tries to be an elitist, but he’s never been that smart. His senility has him hiding most of the campaign season. The more you see this guy, the more people aren’t going to ever vote for him. He’s not likable and has that bad smile that looks plastic and fake.

    • A picture is a thousand words. Trump has enough money to be a boss and enough money to run a golf course in Briarcliff Manor in Westchester County in the Hudson Valley, in order that a nearby Clinton man can play a game with Bloomy and the former Guido Mayor of NYC. The Clintons live in nearby Chappaqua.

Now, Briarcliff Manor was also where the hulking guido cop worked as a police officer, you know, the play buddy of Jeffrey Epstein while he was rotting in jail.

There is no conservative or liberal policies in America when it comes to our elites, just bosses who want whatever out of their company. Should I hire a Monique as my secretary and a Tyrone as my mail clerk or a Megan as my secretary and a Tyler as my mail clerk? This is what bosses do. Politics between our policy makers is office squabble between partners and managers of a business.

Other low-class women who do like Kim Kardashian hate Trump because he reminds them of the alpha who pumped and dumped them two decades ago. Of course they wouldn’t like a politician with a nerdish persona either. The dumb thot vote requires one to walk a narrow tightrope, it’s too bad we passed that nineteenth amendment.

  29. The NYT failed to mention SUNY ONUS-ONTA which is a prole school in Upstate NY that has seen 500+ infections and thus it decided to close the school for the remaining of the year. Meanwhile, the University of Sweet Home Alabama with 2000+ infections is still staying open for classes, where infected students are isolating. Just disgusting prole behavior, which the NYT is pointing out, subtly, with these inferior “rednecks” who reside in the south and refuse to opt for online learning.

    • That’s because of social distancing. Had we not done social distancing, more children would have died from Covid-19.

      • Social distancing and face coverings are key to controlling Covid-19 infections and deaths, because the virus is much deadlier than the common coronviruses like the flu.

Say, MaryK is upset again, because once again, an overweight, Beltway Brooklyn, Bay Bridge, White couple (most likely, a guido duo) riding the NYC ferry was booted off the boat and arrested for not wearing masks during the Labor Day weekend. They were citing a medical condition, which they could not prove. Their response was if we were black, no one would had raised a stink.

      • No olds and sicks in the military. As I’ve been saying all along, This Disease Thing is basically a big nothingburger for those who aren’t old and sick.
