New York City election results interactive map

Thanks to “JA” for the link to this great New York City election results interactive map.

As you see, Trump dominated the voting in the guido parts of New York City (Staten Island, Howard Beach, Mill Basin, Middle Village, that peninsula with Breezy Point) and in the prole Jewish parts of the city (Brighton Beach, Sheepshead Bay, Midwood, Boro Park, Hasidic Williamsburg, Kew Gardens). The rest of the city is solid blue.

I have to confess, I’ve never been to Whitestone, don’t know who lives there. Probably a combination of somewhat well-off (but not Manhattan-rich) but still prole ethnic whites and Jews.

Anyway, I’m sick and tired of hearing how all Jews are liberals. As you see, the prole Jews love Donald Trump.

  1. Chinatown: 82% – 14% for her. Not what I expected, sadly.

  2. Whitestone is an upper middle class enclave of non-Jewish whites (insert bad pun here). They have a great bakery the name of which I forget, which my mother’s best friend used to drive a long distance to, once a week, for goodies. I don’t know the demographics now. Queens has become heavily Asianized in the last 25 years.

OK, I looked it up and my instincts were right:

“The racial makeup of the neighborhood was 68.1% (20,956) White, 0.8% (242) African American, 0.1% (18) Native American, 17.4% (5,362) Asian, 0.0% (2) Pacific Islander, 0.3% (90) from other races, and 1.1% (351) from two or more races. Hispanic or Latino of any race were 12.2% (3,752) of the population.[5]”

12% Latino – must be upper echelon city employees. Not even one percent black. 17% Asian. Used to be 99% white.

    Figure it out yourselves.

    Further:

“The New York office of Hong Kong-based Lee Kum Kee International Holdings Ltd. is located in Whitestone.[7]
The Glacéau beverage company operates out of Whitestone.
The World Journal, the largest Chinese-language newspaper in the United States[8] and one of the largest Chinese-language newspapers outside of China, with a daily circulation of 350,000, is headquartered in Whitestone.[9]”

  3. American Jews always overwhelmingly vote Democrat. This year (as most years), they were more likely to vote for Hillary Clinton than Latinos were. http://www.cnn.com/election/results/exit-polls

That said, I know at least a few prole Jews who have severe misgivings, if not outright hatred, for Hillary Clinton.

  4. I never said all Jews were liberals. I did say Jews are overrepresented as elites, which makes them predominantly liberal.

One finds guidos mostly in prole areas that vote Republican. However, one does not find Jews who live exclusively in prole areas.

Manhattan has more than an abundance of wealthy Jewish residents in the Upper West Side and also the Upper East Side who tend to vote Democrat. Besides those prole neighborhoods in Brooklyn, where Jews are heavily concentrated, many of them also live in Park Slope, another neighborhood known for its wealthy residents.

What separates Jews from Italians is their saaviness and not their “tribalness” when it comes to political affiliation. Jews are much more willing to cross party lines if that candidate gives them what they want. Furthermore, Hasidic Jews should be voting Democrat, because they are welfare recipients like NAMs, but they vote Republican, due to their conservatism…which brings back the discussion about Jews co-opting with other Jews to take advantage of the system to the fullest. Republican leaning Hasidic Jews love Chuck Schumer, who is a Democrat.

    • “What separates Jews from Italians is their saaviness and not their “tribalness” when it comes to political affiliation. Jews are much more willing to cross party lines if that candidate gives them what they want. ”

      This is completely false.

Italians are the ones who frequently cross party lines. They voted for De Blasio (because his last name was Italian) but then they turned out big for Trump.

Liberal Jews always vote Democratic, while there’s a strong track record of prole Jews voting solid Republican.

Only the Hasidim cross party lines, because they vote for whomever their Rebbe tells them to vote for.

      • Italians are predominantly affiliated with the Elephant Gang. But Jews are not.

Senator Alfonso D’Amato who is a Republican was heavily supported by the Hasidic Community, BUT later lost to Chuck Schumer in a re-election who was a Democrat, because Hasidic chose one of their own instead. Despite the great things D’Amato did for the community, they chose Schumer in the 2nd election, simply because he was one of their own.

These same Hasidic Jews also helped Giuiliani to become the 1st Republican Mayor of NYC before that.

      • Making a big deal of Jews occasionally favoring the Jewish candidate when Italians always favor the Italian candidate (explaining how De Blasio became mayor). Although, to their credit, the Italians are going to vote against De Blasio bigtime because he betrayed them by supporting Black Lives Matter over the police. (Of course, anyone with a modest understanding of De Blasio’s political philosophy would have expected that, but the Italian voters only saw an Italian name.)

And Schumer, to his credit, had worked really really hard in courting the prole Jewish vote. It’s not like he just showed up one day, said a few platitudes, and then left after the election never to be seen again.

      • D’Amato was much more intimate with the Hasidic Community than Schumer was. They knew him for many years and voted for him in the 1st election.

Ethnic and racial tribalism play a major role in our political discourse regardless of group. And of course, proles come across as being more tribal than the educated elite.

Guidos voted for de Blasio not only because he had an Italian surname, the previous Republican mayors saw Staten Island as a no-mans land, where they just ignored its residents. The same way they’ve been ignoring proles on a nationwide level when it comes jobs and wealth, which led them to vote for Trump with a large turnout.

    • “Hasidic Jews should be voting Democrat, because they are welfare recipients like NAMs, but they vote Republican, due to their conservatism”

Do they vote Republican in local races? Welfare is a local concern at the distribution point. Of course Trump could propose a slashing of funds at the federal level, but he didn’t run on that at all (though I still hope he does it).

The whole thing with wealthy Hassidim slum lords being welfare recipients is a different problem!

    • So Jews pretty much behave like white people when it comes to voting, but more of them are elites so more of them vote Dem.

I’m a little surprised that more of them wouldn’t vote Republican because of Israel. But I guess most of them aren’t tribal. I think I’m more tribal than most Jews are.

My grandparents (all four) are from the UK. It bothers me that the UK is being colonized by Muslims. This is especially hurting working class people (as my grandparents were). I can’t even read about the Muslim grooming gangs who target underage white girls from poor families and force them to have sex with dozens or hundreds of Muslims. Makes me sick to my stomach. I see someone has written a book about it.

  6. The Chassidic and Orthodox Jews are quintessential political prostitutes. They feel strong identity with Republicans and conservatives in general, but vote Democrat because of parochial considerations. In these elections there was no rabbinical directive how to vote, so they voted their conscience.

  7. “Anyway, I’m sick and tired of hearing how all Jews are liberals. As you see, the prole Jews love Donald Trump.”

I can certainly understand how it would irritate non-liberal jews to repeatedly hear that “all Jews are liberals”. But didn’t you just say someone at a family gathering didn’t even believe you when you defended Trump? Think about that. Non liberal jews are so rare that even jews think you’re joking. You get it from both sides, So I do sympathize.

      • Have you heard my theory on that? Liberals like to think they’re liberal because they’re smarter, more educated, etc. But I don’t think that’s true. Rather, liberal;s are liberal because they’re sheltered. Having money means people can afford to shelter themselves from unpleasantness including the consequences of bad policy. Proles don’t have that luxury. It’s one of the things I worry about with my family. I’ve gone out of my way to ensure that my children aren’t liberal. But it drives me nuts thinking that I bust my hump making money only for my grandkids to turn out to be little Jane Fonda’s.

    • @destructure,

Lion exaggerates the phenomenon of the American Jewish prole. In fact, there are very few of them. The ones to which he refers are usually first gen. Russians or Israelis. American Jews are now mostly 3rd and 4th generation Americans who have successfully assimilated and who have a higher than median income – you know all this from reading Sailer. But it’s standard Soc. 101.

American Jews have a tendency to identify intellectually with the class above them. In the US this would be the Protestant elite. But that’s combined with the New Deal Democratic affiliations of their parents. Earn like Episcopalians, vote like Puerto Ricans, as the saying goes.

In the UK, as Jews assimilated they became Tory. In other words, they earned like C of E, and they voted like C of E. What accounts for the difference? I really don’t know. Possibly the different racial dynamics, and the overwhelming “America is a land of immigrants” ideology which prevented total assimilation.

In any case, Lion’s “prole Jews” is largely a figment of his imagination.

  8. Lion, you are the finest sociologist on the alt-right, but not once have you ever explained the sociology of the alt-right.

Alt-right is definitely not episcopalian elite, or prole guidos.

Explain it to me. I am not a sociologist like you and don’t understand who we are. Why would alt-rightists end up in the alt-right rather than as swpls when their lives would be easier? Please make a post on this. How can a phenomenon such as “us” who have played a significant part in US politics come out of nowhere, and no one has described them yet?

    • “Why would alt-rightists end up in the alt-right rather than as swpls when their lives would be easier? ”

I think alt-right people read more widely and/or have had more experience of the world.. Swpls only read mainstream media and swpl-approved books. They live in a bubble. I used to be swpl but two things made me turn alt-right:

My youngest daughter went off the rails as a teenager and started drinking and doing drugs. (she is alright now, by the grace of God). I had been reading many books about raising children for years. These were books written in the 70’s mostly. They mostly followed the “blank slate” theory. They said the way children are treated in the first 3 years especially form their character. So I stayed home with them, and my husband and I did everything we could to make a warm, stable home. My older 3 kids didn’t have any of the problems that my youngest had. All 4 of them have very different personalities. My father had been an alcoholic so I started wondering if it was genetic. This lead me to HBD and it all seemed to ring true and align with reality.

I quickly found that talking about HBD in the face-to-face world, or online with liberals, got me in trouble. I had been posting for several years on a United Church of Canada forum, got along with everyone, but was shamed and insulted severely when I suggested that First Nations Canadians are more genetically prone to alcoholism than most other races. I was called a nazi for suggesting such a thing.

The second thing that lead me to alt-right was when I stumbled upon the book “While Europe Slept: How Radical Islam is Destroying the West from Within.” Before reading this book I barely knew what Isam was. I have learned a lot since then. Was pretty much chased off the United Church blog by a crowd with pitchforks when I drew their attention to the Muslim grooming gangs in the UK, who are pimping underage white girl. How dare I talk of such a thing!!

I concluded that swpls are either very stupid or completely brainwashed. Maybe both.

      • First Nations are basically heavy Mongoloid strain on steroids or heroin, depending on their state. Quite fascinating, when East Asians who are their closest racial cousins have a natural aversion to alcohol with a lower propensity for violence. Then there’s intermarriage with Canadian Whites, whom I suspect were the proles. The higher classes did not intermarry with the natives.

I have a friend who’s from Winnipeg, she’s Irish German with a tinge of aboriginal. She looks remotely East Asian, and loves to drink. Either it’s from her Irish side or its coming from her native component. Quite a number of Canadians who are White from the provinces of Manitoba and Saskatchewan are of Meti ancestry.

        JS

        November 10, 2016 at 9:27 PM

      • The First Nations people came to the new world from Asia before there was agriculture in Asia, so it would have been before they were making alcohol. Since then most of the east Asians evolved some sort of resistance to alcoholism . However people in Mongolia have a terrible problem with alcoholism. They also look very much like the Natives in BC. In BC most natives are full-blooded. And they have a terrible problem with alcoholism.

People from Northern Europe–Scotland, Ireland, Scandinavia and Russia — seem to have a higher rate of alcoholism than people from Southern Europe. They havent been exposed to alcohol for as long as people further south, so haven’t had as much time to evolve resistance. The poor First Nations people have only had a few hundred years to adapt to it.

  9. The only two Trump supporters on the Howard Stern show were prole Jew Ronnie the Limo Driver and prole Italian Sal the Stockbroker. Stern himself obviously would have voted for Trump too back when he was still prole but the past decade has pretty much erased all remaining vestiges of his prole origins.

Wendy the Retard and Beetlejuice were also Pro-Trump.
