Islamic terrorist attack in Brussels

Don’t know what to say about this yet. I assume it’s ISIS.

Bad for people in Brussels, probably good for Trump, the only candidate who will ban Muslims from moving to the United States, and who warned about Syrian “refugees” even before that.

  1. Most of the victims probably supported open borders. Not that I’m happy they died or were injured, but if anybody has to get hurt, it is better that it happens to open borders supporters.

These types of attacks are good for us, end of story. Remember that idiot Carson was ahead of Trump before Paris. Sometimes the people need to be slapped across the face to wake them up.

    • “Sometimes the people need to be slapped across the face to wake them up.”

This will absolutely not wake liberals up. They will view it as a reaction to unwelcoming attitudes by Europeans, the legacy of European colonialism, or Zionist aggression. Liberals are impervious to facts or reason. That’s why they’re liberals.

      • Muslims need to emigrate to multi-culti liberal centers like NYC where they feel at home. The pursuit of money, and the lust for it, trumps any religious ideology.

Hardcore Christians need to learn the same. The Muslims and the Hasidic Jews in America are on with the program.

I won’t be surprised if Hillary makes a snarky remark about Europeans not being able to integrate their Islamicists, because America is country of opportunities (as a result of capitalism).

According to liberals if you even mildly criticize barbaric behavior, you’re not only a racist but you’re responsible for the barbarism. Liberals believe that Muslims are perfectly reasonable but intolerant, narrow-minded, unwelcoming fascists are causing them to commit terrorist acts.

      • You are right they won’t wake up. Leftism is a cult. From over at Vox Day. Confessions of a red-diaper baby.

For the millions raised as leftists, it is not an ideology; it is a culture. Since childhood, they have lived and breathed it every day in the home. They know nothing else. Like any culture, it is a way of speaking, thinking and acting, with its own narratives and rituals. Narratives are held sacred, repeated, reinforced and, over time, added to. That which challenges sacred narratives, even reality itself, is met with confusion and hostility. As with any aggressive, intolerant culture, if you enter it, it enters you.

Contrary to opinion, leftism isn’t just about hate. Leftists are more complex than that. From my time as a red diaper leftist, I can tell you that a whole range of emotions are involved. Hate, anger, fear, bitterness, jealousy, envy, rage, greed, pride, smugness and paranoia (not technically an emotion, but it is widespread among leftists).

With such a parade of negative emotions, it is no surprise that so many leftists suffer from chronic depression, often from a young age. Even if they lose the anger, they still retain the attitude: that the government must fix everyone’s problems, regardless of cost and that there is an enormous right-wing conspiracy that is just around the corner.

The victim narrative of the Left is very infectious. You are always the victim and you are always owed something. The wealthy are always evil, while you are always good and wholesome. Converts are often more intense than those born into it. My father, raised a leftist, eventually mellowed and began to question some leftist beliefs. My mother, not raised a leftist, but having become one, never mellowed.

Leftism encourages and is driven by the most negative, damaging emotions. It harnesses together childish emotions and paranoid thought processes. Its narratives are a filter that reality has to try to struggle through, often failing. The child-like thinking solves all problems without pesky details and facts interfering, leading to delusions of intellectual brilliance.

      • “Bill Warner and Robert Spencer….”

I assume your remarks were meant as irony. I highly recommend Bill Warner’s books and website (Political Islam). Islam is an all-encompassing supremacist system. Religion is just a part of it.

In Ted Cruz’s autobiography A TIME FOR TRUTH, Cruz says there is no greater advocate for mass immigration in the Senate than himself. However he brought in the great and eloquent Islamophobe Frank Gaffney as an adviser, which immensely raises my estimation of Cruz as a presidential candidate.

      • By “supremacist,” I meant an ideology bent on conquering the world.

Catholicism, Nazism, and communism were once supremacist ideologies, but have become moribund. The only supremacist ideologies currently active and potent are Islam and Westernism. The book THE END OF HISTORY captured the Western supremacist ideology. Westerners believed the entire world would soon be aswim in liberal, secular, free-market democracies, since the superiority of the Western system was so patently obvious (to Westerners).

Islam is the precise opposite of Westernism in every respect except for its lust for world domination.

        Mark Caplan

        March 22, 2016 at 8:03 PM

      • Mark — you may have a point about the hegemonic tendencies of Islam.

Yet, the people of the book in Islam, namely Christians and especially Jews, do not appear to be the underdogs in global influence and cultural overreach.

Christians once complained about Jews, and they still do, but less so vehemently. Now, their main focus is on Islam and its political ambitions, similar to the Catholic Spanish-Hapsburgs and Protestant, Elizabethan England, who once wanted to conquer the known world under the guise of religious fervor.

Islamophobic idiots in the West do not understand or refuse to accept Machiavellian concepts. Mr. Machiavelli believed that religion is an utmost effective tool for imperialistic ambitions.

  2. My first guess is that it’s a moroccan thang in revenge for the ethnic-moroccan terrorist arrested there last week.

But since every act of muslim dysfunction simply results in more muslim migration to the west I don’t think this will be a game changer.

Therefore, they put their already existing plans into overdrive in order to carrry them out while they’re still on the loose. In other words, they aren’t planning them as a result of Abdeslan’s arrest, they’re rapidly accelerating them.

Michael Savage said it best: Liberalism is a mental disorder.

The following is a list of some of their philosophical beliefs:

    1. Liberals deny that human nature exists, arguing that man is a blank slate and is infinitely malleable.
    2. Liberals believe that progress is inevitable if the best and brightest rule.
    3. Liberals believe that religion is responsible for the majority of mankind’s problems (Hitler, Stalin and Mao notwithstanding).
    4. Liberals minimize/deny biological differences between men and women.
    5. Liberals believe in cultural and moral relativism.
    6. Liberals tend to be weak and cowardly and have values based upon these deficiencies

    8. Liberals invented and enforce political correctness in order to prevent any serious discussion of race, crime, IQ, immigration, etc.

This is only truly in a physical confrontation. Weak and cowardly otherwise? No way. Hell, Progressives rule America, Canada, most of Europe, Australia and New Zealand with an iron fist. They haven’t the LEAST hesitation in speaking out, calling their enemies vile names, etc. Conservatives are cowards, unable to speak their minds in the face of social ostracism.

Of course, for Progs it’s easy to be “brave” because they are re-enforced endlessly. But just like it’s stupid to call terrorists “cowards,” it’s stupid to call Progs cowards. They haven’t a fear in the world, other than a farcical fear of a gang of Haven Monahans.

  10. I attended a talk last night by a (retired) CIA operative who had spent a lot of time in the Middle East. He had been heavily involved in counter-terrorism and had debriefed a fair number of radical Islamists. He made a number of interesting points about ISIS , al-Qaeda and related groups. But one thing that sticks in my mind from his talk is that he mentioned Belgium as a likely target because of the large number of terrorists it harbors. Guess he knew what he was talking about.

  14. Five minutes on Twitter reading the #Brussels tweets will convince you that white nations are hopelessly addicted to suicide. It’s simply pathetic how much cringing and apologizing and weepy man-boobery is taking place.

Meanwhile, Cruz stepped up the stoopid in his comments about Trump. What a tool.

    • The attacks will, in all probability, expand Trump’s winning margin in Arizona. He probably doesn’t need it because that state is winner-take-all, but it does give him more momentum as he heads into the remaining primaries. /

  16. Last year’s train attack attempt was on a train traveling from Belgium to France.

The terrorists on that train would have killed everybody they could until they ran out of bullets, except for the fact that ex USA military were seated next to the bathroom. A fluke!

Belgium’s response to that terror was to flood the country with Syrians. Insane!

  19. When Trump was interviewed about this, he talked about the problem and its solutions. When Cruz and Hillary were interviewed about this, they talked about the problem and blamed Trump for contributing to it.

A leader will always be a leader. A politician will always be a politician. You will always have candidates like C&H in every election, but a competent, hard-working, real problem solver with vision is hard to come by. Treasure this rare opportunity, America.

  21. Trump boasts that he will stop ISIS and put an end to terrorist attacks, but what exactly is he going to do? He advocates restraint in using US military for foreign interventions. He criticized Bush administration for the Iraq invasion and the Obama administration for Libya and Syria.

He has promised to get tough on terrorist by using waterboarding and other torture techniques. The Bush administration used torture and got no accurate information and it did not intimidate terrorist at all.

I look at the Trump/Cruz reaction to Brussels and I’m reminded of a spoof series of tough on crime political ads from many years ago.

Candidate 1: I signed the death warrant for xx criminals in the last 4 years.

Candidate 2: I will not only sign death warrants, I will personally throw the switch on the electric chair.

Candidate 1: I will not only throw the switch, I will dance on criminals graves after they are buried.

Candidate 2: I will not wait for criminals to commit murder, I will execute them before they can commit their crimes… (pan to image of candidate on roof of building pointing rifle at someone walking on the street).

    • “what exactly is he going to do?”

Closing and locking the door on the muslims seems like a good start. Combined with not blowing them up in the Middle East it might be quite intelligent. And since Putin quickly brought ISIS to a halt, Trump could furthermore just avoid making enemies with Russia to speed along that process. Has anyone proposed anything like that, I wonder?

(OK, maybe the permanent bureaucracy prefers to have a few foreign wars rolling on to use up boring old munitions and try out new weapons systems and generate refugees and goldarn it, just plain spread chaos and death, but you can’t please everyone.)
